National Craft Open Studios Weekend
This summer, ACC is launching National Craft Open Studios Weekend on July 18-19, 2026, a first-of-its-kind, nationwide celebration inviting the public into the creative spaces of craft artists across the country. As the Executive Director of ArtsAVL, I’m writing to let you know about the weekend and to invite you to encourage southeastern artists to participate.
National Craft Open Studios Weekend is a two-day event that will offer guests a rare glimpse into the processes, tools, and inspiration that shape how handmade works are made, and provide important connection points between artists and their community. National Craft Open Studios Weekend launches as part of Craft in America’s Handwork: Celebrating American Craft 2026.
The weekend is open to all skill levels, mediums, studio size/type, and location. Once registration is complete, artists will appear on a comprehensive map that guests can use to find artists in their area. Participating artists will also benefit from a nationwide marketing campaign reaching ACC’s extensive lists of craft appreciators and media contacts.
Artists can sign-up to participate now through April 30th on our website. Here is the marketing kit with more details and information on how to apply.
