For 20 years, Art in Bloom has been Black Mountain Center for the Arts' most beloved celebration — and plein air artists have been there every step of the way. This June, we're inviting you back into the gardens for our biggest milestone yet.

During our exclusive Garden Tours, you'll set up your workspace inside some of Black Mountain's most beautiful private gardens, creating on-site as guests wander the grounds around you. Visitors stop. They watch. They ask questions. They connect with you and your work right there among the blooms. Whatever your medium or technique, if the work is made in the garden, it belongs here — and our guests look forward to witnessing that creative energy every single year.

After the tours, your finished work moves into the Art From the Garden exhibition in the BMCA Gallery, on view through July 31. The Plein Air Artists Market runs alongside the main exhibition, offering visitors the chance to explore smaller works, studies, and prints at accessible price points. You're warmly encouraged to attend the Opening Reception on June 26 — a wonderful opportunity to meet collectors, share your process, and celebrate alongside fellow artists.
