Phantom Lamp Theatre Company is hitting the ground running in 2026 with a new, innovative work from local playwright Abby Auman.

Close Quarters finds you, the audience, as spectral accompaniment for two ghosts in an apartment. Your mission? Help them get the new living residents to move. Hauntings ensue, neighbors interrupt the plot with hijinks, and each show is unique. No, really - each show will have a unique ending, determined by the audience. Don’t want to miss a single ending? Patrons are encouraged to grab a ticket to our closing show on March 1st, where every possible ending will be performed.

This innovative work incorporates the audience and is an interactive piece. Some parts of the play are scripted, others are improvised, and audience members can choose their level of participation. Close Quarters is directed by Jason Phillips, with improvisational coaching by Katie Jones. The stage is artfully managed by Dana Gillihan. The cast includes Elizabeth DeVault, Delina Hensley, Jamie Knox, Cagney Larkin, Morgan Miller, Bethany Prescott, Stevie Ramirez, and Nora Tramm.
