Teaching Opportunity
The Asheville Art Museum is seeking experienced local and regional artists to lead Adult Studio classes and workshops in 2027. Held twice monthly on Saturday afternoons, the program gives adult students an opportunity to explore a medium in depth while drawing inspiration from the Museum’s collection.
Classes can range from foundations such as drawing and painting to specialized practices like mosaic-making and brewing tinctures. The Museum welcomes a variety of proposals and especially encourages applications from underrepresented artists and art forms.
Instructors should have strong experience in their medium and teaching adult learners. Pay ranges from $30–$45 per student for a three- or six-hour class, with classes generally serving 6–12 students. Most materials are provided by the Museum, with specialized materials available as needed.
