AVL Sounds Fest is Asheville's premier venue-based music festival, returning to the Blue Ridge Mountains August 6–9, 2026. Formerly known as AVLfest, the festival enters an exciting new chapter with a new name and even more opportunities to celebrate the incredible music and creative community that make Asheville so special.

Presented by Worthwhile Sounds and Wicked Weed Brewing, AVL Sounds Fest transforms more than 20 concert halls, clubs, breweries, and outdoor venues into a citywide celebration of music. Festival wristbands grant pass holders access to 200+ performances featuring an exceptional lineup of local, regional, and national artists across a wide range of genres.

We're excited that you're interested in volunteering! Volunteers are an essential part of making AVL Sounds Fest possible. In exchange for two 5-hour volunteer shifts, you'll receive a weekend festival pass, as well as a AVL Sounds volunteer T-shirt and an invite to the afterparty.
