Adult Studio: The Art of Papercutting
TWO DAY STUDIO—Saturdays, October 25 and November 1
Join us to learn the magical art of paper cutting and create beautiful images and designs cut from a single piece of paper with an X-Acto knife. The inspiration for this workshop comes from Wycinanki, Polish paper cutting, and German paper cutting also known as Scherenschnitte. You will leave this class with a framed original artwork of your own. All materials included.
ABOUT THE TEACHING ARTIST
Mixed media artist Daniel Frisbee creates work in paper cutting, painting, sculpture, and wood burnings. A graduate of Mars Hill University, Daniel has shown at K2 Studio and Mountain Made Contemporary Art Gallery, both in downtown Asheville, Garage on 25 in Fletcher, and Brevard College.
$75 (Museum Members receive 10% discount with code MAKEART at checkout; two partial scholarships for BIPOC participants; materials included).
