You’re invited to RAD Brewing on Saturday, June 21st for RAD Solstice! This is a celebration of the Summer Solstice and the ongoing renewal of Asheville’s River Arts District.

Here is how you can be involved in creating RAD Solstice:

1) Costume! Come in costume, don your finest hat, or...just come as you are!

2) Join the Solstice Drum Krewe! Drummers should plan to attend 2-4 practice sessions to perform with the group on RAD Solstice afternoon. We will have 4 drumming meetups on Thursday evenings - May 29, June 5, 12, & 19 - at RAD Brewing. Participation is free! Interested? Email to sign up: RADsolstice@gmail.com

3) Make Interactive Art! Add your brushwork or handprint on our community mural project! We are looking for RAD artists who would like to sprinkle a bit of magic glitter on the day by bringing your unique talents to the celebration. Have an idea? Share your spirit!

4) Sell Your Art Work! We will have space for 5-6 tables for RADA artists to display and sell their work. There is no charge for accepted artists. You just need to provide your own table and chair and whatever you need to run your business there. Preference given to artists affected by Helene. 5) Volunteer! Help us set up/clean up, meet & greet, supervise painting the community mural, create an interactive art installation, run bubble machines, do face-painting, create good vibes for the day, etc...

6) Dance Party! Les Amis will bring the dance party to Solstice, with hot Ivory Coast rhythms and songs, featuring special guests - The Screamin' Stephens! Music from 5:00-7:00pm, inside. Bring your dancing shoes and your dancing moves!
