Drift, In and Out: Fine Art Exhibit by Linsey Gray
In the heat of the summer, time seems to lose its rigid edges, softening into the hazy, rhythmic expanse of a daydream. Drift, In and Out, invites you to step into this liminal space—a place where the rush of the day-to-day fades, replaced by the slow, restorative cadence of the natural world.
Drawing inspiration from nature's quiet, overlooked moments, Linsey’s work explores finding peace amidst uncertainty. Her process celebrates imperfection and unpredictability, utilizing charcoal she creates from gathered twigs and soft pastels applied directly to raw, unfinished wood. Every element of her work is intentional, from the orientation of the wood grain, to the hand-applied cold wax finish and the bespoke hardwood frames she crafts from locally sourced materials. Linsey’s mission is restorative: to offer grounding in a busy world, reminding us that awe and possibility can be found in the simplest of moments.
Open to patrons of Table Asheville from mid August to mid October
