Intro to Dry Point Printmaking
Workshop with Print House Founders, Anna Bryant & Denise Markbreit *Class tuition includes all materials.*
Join us for a two-hour intaglio printmaking workshop in honor of our spotlighted artist, Porge Buck. In this class, we’ll explore the art of drypoint etching—a low-tech, hands-on method of creating rich, expressive prints through direct mark-making.
Porge Buck was a beloved printmaker known for her etching practice and was an original River Arts District artist before moving her studio to Black Mountain. This workshop is offered in her honor and celebrates her lasting contribution to the Asheville printmaking community.
You’ll learn the fundamentals of drypoint printmaking, a technique within the intaglio family, and leave with a deeper understanding of both the process and its expressive potential.
