The Asheville Make Faire producers are seeking a Buncombe County artist to create a
kinetic art piece for its annual event. Artwork may be new or existing and shall move or
have an element of motion. Selected artist will be present and display artwork to the public
at the Asheville Make Faire on Saturday, April 10, 2027, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the
A-B Tech Conference Center located at 16 Fernihurst Drive, Asheville, NC. Selected artist
will receive a $1,000 award for their participation.

• Who can apply: Artists of all experience levels who currently reside in Buncombe County.
• Application deadline: Friday, November 13, 2026, 11:59 EST
• Submit applications to: avlmakerfaire@gmail.com
• Media accepted: Sculpture, mixed media, installation, and new/alternative visual art forms.
• Media not accepted: Music, theater, dance, and artwork comprised of only one of the following media: film/video, photography, ceramics, painting, drawing printmaking.
