Adult Studio: Flower Medicine Workshop

August 23, 2025
01:00PM - 04:00PM

Join us for an afternoon exploring the healing properties of flowering plants through hands-on practice and study. We’ll conduct a live aromatic distillation of flowering plants in the John & Robyn Horn Education Center, learn the fundamentals of working with flower essences, and explore their role in emotional and energetic support. While the still runs, we’ll take a private tour of the exhibition Flora Symbolica: The Art of Flowers and then return to the Education Center to create symbolic flower bouquets. Each participant will take home a fresh bouquet and a bottle of hydrosol.

About the Teaching Artist: Rebecca Vann is an herbalist, educator, and distiller with over 25 years of experience in medicinal herbs. She began distilling in 2020, integrating this practice deeply into her work. She currently serves as director of plant medicine at the Veterans Healing Farm, the owner and formulator for Aurum Apotheca, and teaches at the Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine.
