FiberFestival - A Fibershed Heritage Event & Artisan Market
Save the Date! Local Cloth is excited to host FiberFestival: A Fibershed Heritage Event & Artisan Market on Saturday, May 10 from 12pm to 6pm at Lutheridge in Arden, North Carolina. The goal of FiberFestival is to celebrate and share the history and heritage of the Blue Ridge Mountain fibershed. 🐑
🎉 This free event blends multiple Local Cloth events into one! In previous years, Local Cloth hosted one event that focused on fiber farmers and one that focused on fiber artists. 🧵🦙❤️
🫶 The vision of FiberFestival is to create one large event that includes both while also raising awareness about the history and impact of our local fiber economy and community. In addition to fiber farmers and art vendors, we will host interactive fiber-related activities and demonstrations that spotlight the process of fiber production from farm to final product. We’ll also be hosting one of our fan favorite events: the Community Clothing Swap! FiberFestival will also serve as the Final [Big] Stop for Local Cloth on the WNC Yarn Crawl. 🧶
🛍️ In addition to shopping, demonstrations, and a clothing swap, there will be food, drinks and music!
📍The event takes place in the picturesque setting of Lutheridge’s lakefront pavilion (2511 Hendersonville Road, Arden, NC).
➡️ Interested in being a vendor? Applications are open for fiber artists and fiber farmers, with priority given to Local Cloth members. Applications are being accepted on a first come first serve basis.
Free.
