Imagine a stack of playful & colorful gelli printed papers, waiting to be transformed into something new!

Michelle uses her own gelli prints all the time to experiment with possibilities for creating. If you look closely, you can see gelli printed papers in most of her whimsical and funky mixed media collages on wood panels.

For starters, in this class, we will have a large stack of hand-made gelli prints at the ready for you to use while experimenting with collages. And If you’ve taken a gelli print class with us, we invite you to bring your own stack to add to the fun!

Michelle will demo throughout the class and show you ways to cut, tear, and lay down your gelli papers down on the wood panel with nori glue to create a composition that can range anywhere from abstract to whimsical or representational. Experimentation and play is highly encouraged as you figure out what your creation is becoming!

Finally, you will embellish your creation with the “gingerbread”, as Michelle calls it, with posca pens, gold Kuretake pens, artist markers and some acrylic paints.
