The National Gingerbread House Competition is on public display at The Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa from Nov. 17, 2026 through Jan. 3, 2027, with free viewing for non-guests on select evenings and weekdays. One of Asheville's most colorful traditions returns for its 34th year with hundreds of edible works of art built by makers of every age.

Public Viewing: Nov. 17, 2026 – Jan. 3, 2027 | Non-guests can view the display after 6 p.m. on Sundays, or anytime Monday through Thursday during resort hours (parking permitting). Fridays and Saturdays are reserved for resort guests and dining reservations.
Closed to the public: Nov. 26 and Dec. 6, 23, 24, 25, 26, 30, 31, plus Jan. 1.
Entries: Creations must be at least 75% gingerbread and entirely edible, judged across Child, Youth, Teen, and Adult categories.
Virtual fun: The "12 Days of Gingerbread" typically showcases entries Dec. 1–12 on the Omni Grove Park Inn's Facebook and Instagram channels.
