A celebration of zines, Comics, Small Press, Artist Books, and Independent Publishing.

Asheville Zine Fest is gearing up for a 10th year celebration of independent publishing with an
exhibition for independent publishers, small press and creators of zines, comics, book art, chapbooks,
anthologies, pamphlets, and other ephemera. This year, the fest will have twice the number of vendors
in a much bigger venue! The fest will be free and open to the public from 12-5pm.

Events at this year’s fest include a zine reading, RISO printing demonstrations, and zine making
workshops. We’ll have a Maker’s Table where visitors can make their own zines, and a Youth Table for
young zinesters (18 and under) to sell or share their zines on a drop-in basis. We’ll have volunteers
screenprinting commemorative 10th year t-shirts onsite throughout the event. We also welcome
Buncombe County Public Library who will be representing BCPL youth services & opportunities, West
Asheville library's zine collection and makerspace, and the Buncombe County Special Collections’
local Zine Archive and some of the services and opportunities they offer. All events are free and open
to the public.

The lineup of 75+ vendors represent creative voices from Asheville, our WNC neighbors, and artists
that will travel from as far as Portland, OR. We’ll even be international this year, with zines sent from a
writer in Ukraine to share! We are looking forward to seeing familiar faces as well as new friends. See
