Weaving Demonstration with Betty Hilton-Nash
Betty Hilton-Nash began her tapestry career in 1991, working for a year as an apprentice/contract weaver for Pam Patrie Studios in Portland, Oregon. She has continued her work as an artist weaver, creating and exhibiting her own designs in group shows nationally and internationally. She won best in show at the 2016 Blue Ridge Fiber show at the North Carolina Arboretum. She has also received the American Tapestry Alliance award, the Handweavers Guild of America award, and was a two time finalist for the Kate Derum prize in Australia.
In addition to her weaving Betty has served on the boards of regional tapestry groups and the American Tapestry Alliance. Betty is also a member of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild.
