The company who brought you last year’s CYMBELINE (“the Nemesis Theatre Company production of Cymbeline restored my faith in the inexhaustibility of Shakespeare’s riches”—Daniel Walton, Asheville Stages) takes on ROMEO AND JULIET, Shakespeare's smash hit, replete with star-crossed lovers, embattled families, beleaguered clergy, meddlesome parents, love, loss, exile, poison, and the happiest dagger in stage history.

In Nemesis’s interpretation, Jon Stockdale and Dwight Chiles star as the titular lovers to tell a brand-new story of queer awakening, while multiple endings explore possible escapes from the onslaught of tragedy…or not! With water pistols, love, friendship, self-discovery, and a femur fight, Nemesis tries to craft the most authentic, ridiculous, compelling, romantic, surprising, and possibly even death-defying version of the tale told to date.

The production features Jon Stockdale, Dwight Chiles, Erin McCarson, Jason Phillips, Paula O'Brien, Zak Hamrick, Elijah York, Elli Murray, Rachel McCrain, Olivia Stuller, Selah Atwood, Eli Hamilton, Ronnie Nielsen, Katie Alexander, Nora Tramm, and Elizabeth DeVault.
