Folk Art Fiber Day
Folk Art Fiber Day
The Southern Highland Craft Guild invites the community to celebrate Fiber Day at the Folk Art Center on May 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This beloved annual event, which has been a tradition for over 30 years, showcases the vibrant world of fiber arts, from felting and quilting to weaving, knitting, spinning, and more.
Fiber Day brings together Guild members and other fiber artists to share their craft with visitors. Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to watch live demonstrations, interact with the artists, and learn about the rich history and techniques behind handmade textiles. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced maker, this event offers something for everyone, including hands-on activities for children and adults alike.
Textile arts are known for fostering community and creativity, and the Guild encourages visitors to bring their own handwork projects to work on during the event. It’s a chance to connect with others, learn new skills, and immerse yourself in the world of fiber arts.
